Are you ready to take the next step in your legal career? Join us for a live taster lecture, designed to give you an authentic experience of studying one of our online LLM programmes. This is your exclusive chance to get a preview of the world-class legal education delivered by The Dickson Poon School of Law.
Whether you're considering our LLM in International Corporate & Commercial Law or LLM in International Financial & Commercial Law, this session is for you. It will introduce you to the high-level thinking, academic rigour, and practical insight that defines our postgraduate law programmes.
What to expect:
- A live online taster lecture delivered by Dr Michael Meissner, Lecturer in Financial Law at The Dickson Poon School of Law, offering insight into international financial regulation.
- The chance to experience King’s teaching first-hand, with content drawn from our modules — such as corporate finance, cross-border transactions, or legal risk management.
- Hear from Dr Anat Keller, Director of Online Programmes, and Katie Hart, Online Programmes Manager, on what it’s like to study law flexibly and fully online.
- A Q&A session where you can ask questions about course content, structure, application tips, and career outcomes.
During this lecture, you’ll explore the real-world application of finance theory in legal contexts, touching on key concepts such as equity and debt finance, secured lending, and modern funding techniques like syndicated loans and lines of credit.
While the lecture draws from the International and Financial & Commercial Law LLM, this session is also ideal for law graduates or legal professionals considering studying the International Corporate and Commercial Law LLM, as an opportunity to see what a webinar from the School of Law is really like.
